episode55-red-light-sauna-inflammation
Hey, becoming natural fans, welcome to episode 55 All about Red Light Sauna. I am ecstatic to be interviewing my friend Aubrey Hendershot today, but this time about red light therapy. She is the queen of all things detox, incredibly informed and passionate about natural healing. She is also a doctor of physical therapy and Kansas City's premier lymphatic and detox specialist, so be sure to check out her links that I will for sure put in the show notes. Today, our episode is going to dive into some really fun information about why red light works and how it works, and how you know you're getting a product that works. Because believe me, I have been searching high and low for a product that I can trust because they aren't cheap. So I just want to tell you that I have been doing some research and learning about red light devices, knowing they're not inexpensive, and I have yet to find one that I absolutely trust, and I just needed someone to just point me in the right direction. So of course, my dream is to have a full size one in my basement. We'll work on that. That's for next year. But in the meantime, Aubrey recommended the amazing and portable loom box, and I'm already loving it. It's I'm sold. And it has been absolutely amazing. I've had it sitting on my kitchen counter and at least four people have come over to visit. I had one of my sons was in town, and he swears that just using it two times for six minutes, this hand issue that he was having for a week or so, it was completely solved. He's like, I want one of those for Christmas. So consider this for Christmas too. But not all red light devices are created equal, and some are underpowered, some are bulky, some are not even FDA registered. What makes Loom Box different is the science behind it. It's third party tested for high irradiance, which matters if you want results. Each bulb emits both red and near-infrared light, which we will talk about today, so it supports skin, muscle, and joint health all in one. It's portable. It meets the IEC safety standards trusted by doctors, esthetician and even professional athletes. And it is FDA registered as a class to medical device. The best news is this while I have not jumped on the wagon of recommending a bunch of products on becoming natural specifically to you, my sweet listeners, I love the loom box. I love its portability. I love that you can target certain parts of your body. So I reached out to lunchbox, and I am part of my story and my passion for becoming natural. And I send them my podcast and they gave the Becoming Natural Community an exclusive, whopping 40% off a loom box. That is a huge discount. That's $260 off each unit. So just click my link in the show notes and you too can get a loom box for yourself or for your children or whoever you want. That is an incredible, generous offer and I am so grateful for it. So I guarantee you will not be disappointed and operated all the research for me. And now I want to pass on the incredible discount to you all that we have been offered. So let's get this started and learn all the things we need to know about red light therapy, what to look for, why it works, and why we want to use it. Do you ever wish your day wasn't dictated by your health? Are you tired of being tired all the time? Or is pain holding you back from enjoying your time with your family? Would you like to manage your symptoms holistically but you just don't know where to begin? I am so excited that you're here. This podcast will help you understand how natural remedies work, so you can relieve your symptoms and live a fuller life. My name is Penny. I'm an occupational therapist, past pharmaceutical rep, a mom and a wife with a strong faith. And for 25 years, I battled through debilitating Crohn's disease. I took all the medicine and did all the surgeries that stole so much time with my family. They never truly healed me. I finally realized if I was going to survive this disease, I needed to open my stubborn eyes to alternative solutions. I researched how perfectly our bodies work with plants, and a lifestyle that made my health less of a burden to my family and online so beautifully with my faith and my medical training. If you're ready to reclaim your life with holistic options that are easy to implement as a busy mom and provide relief that lasts. This is the podcast for you. Hey there. This is Penny. And today I am sitting with my friend Aubrey Hendershot, who owns Radiant Wellness in Mission, Kansas. And you may recognize her name because we've chatted before about lymphatic drainage. She's a doctor of physical therapy, and she has an amazing practice where she has pursued lots of different avenues of natural and holistic healing with lymphatic drainage, with, um, red light sauna with us. Help me. Some other things detoxification, cellular detoxification, amino acid therapy, all the holistic healing you could ever want. Yes. So I love it when I get a day or two to talk to Aubrey because she's a wealth of information. But today I wanted to talk to her a little bit about red light sauna, because we know that everybody's talking about red lights on it, and I have no experience or knowledge of how red light sauna works or the different kinds of sauna. And how do you know you're getting a quality session whenever you choose to go somewhere for lights? So we're going to talk a little bit about that with Aubrey. So first question what is it? What is red light sauna. What does it do for your body. Yeah that's a broad question. And I think it's a great one to talk about, because it seems like there are studios popping up all over the place that are offering red light therapy, different types of sauna, sweat labs, you know, you name it. So figuring out what it is and what makes it a good quality is really important, especially as we invest our time and our dollars into these things. So I guess if we zoom out and we talk about what the heck is infrared light, red light, all these things, we kind of have to go back to fifth grade science class. So Mrs. Big and I will always think of you when I say the acronym Bib. So if you're unfamiliar with that term, I'll give you a crash course. If you think of the spectrum of the rainbow, right. That visible light that we can see, or perhaps when we look up on after a rainy day and see a rainbow, that is the red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. I learned that too. Yeah. So things that you just never forget, but rarely get to talk about openly unless you do what I do. Um, so infrared is on that infrared being lower then. So it's on that one side of the visible spectrum that we can't see. And, uh, and then we've got on the flip side, I think people are more familiar with the term UV light. You know, when we think about sunburns and putting on sunscreen, that's a whole different conversation for a different day. But, um, both of those infrared light and UV light are light waves that we can't see. Um, so infrared is actually lower than visible light, while UV light is higher. So not to get too technical, but think about infrared being like these long wavelengths. They're kind of that low energy. But the beauty of this is it actually gets to penetrate deeper into your skin. So um, the flip side again, that UV light are short wavelengths. Think of that as like really high energy. But that's why it can be dangerous in large amounts or in prolonged quantities, because this high energy has the capability of like breaking chemical bonds, like breaking down tissues. So think of like biological effects, like that degradation of things. So while the infrared, these long, low energy waves are actually restoring building up, which is really cool. So in holistic healing, that's really what we want. We want a building up of things. We want a restoring of those good properties, even if we're just talking about, you know, skin depth. We want something that's safe and it's building things up naturally. Um, I will say on if we talk though about UV light isn't all bad. So I don't want to like pose one as good and one as bad. Um, obviously there's a lot more risks to UV light, but we really I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that we really need UV light because our skin utilizes this to make vitamin D. So, um, again, there's a reason God has all these things that you're exposed to. It's just, um, how and when we're exposed to it and to what level. So I just want to sorry to interrupt. Just want to clarify that UV light you're describing is on one end of the spectrum. Yes, infrared is on the other. Yes. So when you have infrared and it's red light obviously infrared. Yeah. Um, is any red light? Infrared. Yes. Well, okay. So if you see the color red, then it cannot be infrared because it's non-visible. Correct. The infrared is not. It's it's invisible and it's just slightly below that visible spectrum. But there are really good benefits to both infrared and red light. I think we're seeing more and more devices out there that are either just red light or incorporating both red and infrared, and partially, I can see why we seem to respond the best to things that we can either tangibly touch or see. And people seeing that red color, I think, is also reassuring to them that something is turned on. So that's kind of a funny like misnomer about when people come into my clinic and they're in my infrared sauna. Um, despite the fact that there's no light in there, there is lots of, uh, infrared waves. So I guess we'll break down the three different types of infrared light waves that there are so near. Infrared is what most of the time people will see in like handheld devices. Um, and that's going to affect the top layers of your tissue. So think about like skin. Um, it's the shortest infrared wavelength. And it really is good at targeting, uh, cell health, um, kind of immunity, uh, wound healing. Um, it works on skin purification, but it also has a really good pain rate, pain relief, um, characteristics. Some people use that kind of for skin care, acne and things like that. So you can. Absolutely. So that's where there is some overlap too, with like just straight up red light therapy. Um, now the infrared is actually going to go deeper into the tissue than just the red light will strictly be more surface layer. Um, but again, you'll find a lot of devices that combine to I personally use a handheld device in my clinic that is strictly near infrared, and I use it especially with my post plastic surgery patients. Um, for the lymphatic side of what I do. Um, because I can start, you know, day one after therapy or I'm sorry, after surgery. Um, working with infrared light to help start to heal, um, the incision sites. Um, it helps to reduce inflammation. It can be a truly powerful tool, especially when the body is in a state where we can't do a whole lot of other modalities. But, um, that near infrared is always a safe go to that we could do to start with that collagen production. Again, we're rebuilding within the tissue. Um, now mid-infrared is going to be, uh, kind of in between the near and the far infrared. And it also works with pain relief. Um, it helps improve circulation. Um, and then this is one that people, of course, always are interested in, but that mid-infrared can actually help, um, aid with weight loss. So that's where, um, people with certain saunas like mine that have all three. Um, it's a great thing that's bundled in there that, that weight loss loss is more of the mid-infrared. And then, um, mostly because it goes a little deeper into the soft tissue versus a more towards the surface with the near infrared. And then finally that far infrared is that deep heating that we think of from a sauna. So, um, it's also going to help with weight loss. But really that detoxification, getting those sweat glands going, um, all of that that's coming from far infrared. Um, this also helps promote Taxation and it can help decrease blood pressure. Um, obviously there's you have to be regular about this. Um, but the far infrared, uh, especially in the sauna that I have, the cool part is it's not stuffy. And, Penny, you can speak to this. You've been in my, um, sunlight and infrared sauna. It's not that, um, oppressive heat. Where when you go in at, like, a a gym or even a health club, which I don't like that. No, I feel like I'm in one of those saunas. Like a barrel sauna or steam sauna. You're in there for six minutes, and I, I it's awful. I fall asleep in yours in, like, ten minutes. Yeah, but that's the cool part about infrared. It's actually heating the body tissues. So the internal tissues of your body, it's not just heating up the air around you. So like barrel sauna, steam saunas, uh, those what we think of as traditional saunas. Heat the air, which in turn heats you. So what can happen with far infrared is you can get up to. Three degree increase in core temperature. So that's like deep internal increase in body temperature, which again, one of the best things we can do for detoxification. I know with my cellular detoxification side of my business, if we have people who have a hard time detoxifying, especially heavy metals, um, putting them in a sauna will help increase the body temperature and allow the body to let go of more toxins. So, um, again, we're getting up to a three degree difference in internal temperature. Even some of the studies that are out there when they, like, do a sweat analysis between traditional saunas and infrared saunas, um, a traditional sauna in your sweat, you're getting like 97% water and like 3% toxins. But when they do specific studies, especially on the sun, I have sunlight, which I believe to be the gold standard, especially because they've done so much independent third party testing, which is really important. But they're finding in the sweat analysis that 80% is water versus 97. But that means that 20% of the sweat is toxins that is coming out. So again, it's that internal deep heating with that far infrared. And again then you're the body the external body temperature. So your surface temperature of your body isn't changing. And that's why you can sit in there for 45 minutes and not feel like you're going to die. That's amazing. So what is you mentioned? You know, maybe there's too much time that you can spend. What's an ideal time to spend for a session in the infrared sauna? Yeah, it it depends. It depends on a lot of factors. I would say generally speaking, anywhere between 30 and 45 minutes. So if I have worked with someone and they're having lots of pain issues, I would put them in a 30 minute session. Um, most people handle 40 to 45 minutes quite well. Um, of course staying properly hydrated. So I always send people in there with a big glass of water. That's really important. Um, now, there are some caveats. So as we age and we don't have as much, um, hydration within our bodies and other factors, especially our skin integrity, all of that. You know, I'm I'm cautious, um, especially considering medical history, how long I have people in there as they get older. On the flip side of things, kids you have to be really careful with as well. Um, my general rule of thumb, if they are a healthy child is one minute per year. How old they are. So if you have, you know, a nine year old kiddo, um, of course, having them supervised in there. But I would never let them go more than five minutes. But again, that's if I believe them to be healthy then to be able to respond well. And I know that there's no, you know, sweating issues, that sort of thing. So your list of benefits were amazing. And so how long would you say it would take for someone because you don't actually feel anything, you know, when you're in there besides feeling relaxed? How many sessions? I know that everybody's probably a little bit different, but what's the ideal length before you start noticing any of these changes or differences? Yeah, I mean the key with this is being regular and sticking with a routine with it. So obviously those people who are getting in there on a regular basis, you know, even 3 to 4 times a week, we're going to see the benefits the fastest. I will say the surprising thing is, um, a lot of people think that they're going to sweat on the first couple times. And unless you are really proficient, sweater and sapphire, um, a lot of people don't end up sweating. So I think a good rule of thumb is let's see how many visits it takes to get you to start sweating. We can kind of track how soon into your session you will start sweating. And as you become a more proficient sweater, we know that your body is able to detoxify at a better rate. And then we kind of base our frequency on it. Okay, so if I didn't sweat, that means I wasn't doing a good job. Oh, detoxifying. Generally speaking, yes. It obviously has a lot of factors involved with it. Hydration being the number one thing. But yes, I see people who are able to sweat, especially after repeated sessions, um, generally struggle more with detoxifying. Interesting, because I did notice that I started sweating more. The more I did it. Yeah. Which would mean I'm becoming more proficient at sweating. Absolutely. Yeah, that's I mean, that's not if you think of our skin as being our largest detox organ. It's going to tell you a lot based on how we sweat about, you know, body odors, that kind of stuff. It's going to tell you, um, how well you're able to open up those downstream detox pathways. So if people are in Kansas City and can't come to radiant Wellness, how do you know that you're getting a good quality infrared session? How do you know it's even infrared? And that's a really good question. So I'd start with checking out their website. Um, if you're going to like an infrared studio, that sort of thing. If they have high quality devices, they're going to be very proud of those and they're going to write those on there. But don't be afraid to call them up and ask them specific questions. What kind of device do they use? Do you have research to back it up? What can I expect? What's the safety on this? I mean, anyone who has a reputable infrared studio or clinic that they have an infrared sauna should be able to answer these basic questions for you. So just to clarify, and it's probably because I'm slower, but so say I have just a red light bulb. Does that give me any benefit whatsoever just by being red light? I think in that case the benefits could be negligible. Um, however, there are a lot of red light devices on the market now. I see all over social media these face masks claiming to be anti-aging. And, um, and I think a lot of them potentially are good or have the potential of being good. I just think you have to be cautious. Um, in are you really getting the benefits that they're. Saying you will. That's exactly what I was asking, because I found, like a red light face mask. And I'm like, how do I know that I'm spinning or expensive? Yeah. How do I know that my money is actually going to do something that's really beneficial? Yeah. And if it really is just red light, is it really going to help me? Yeah, I think that's where you have to, again, do your due diligence. And these good, reputable companies are happy to tell you they'll scream it from the rooftops that they have certain things that make their product not only reliable, but worth the money you're paying. So I would first look and make sure that it is a third party tested device. So you want somebody outside of the company that's selling it, telling you how good and safe it is. Um, another thing to look for would be, is what is the EMF, um, output of these devices? Because the last thing, especially when I think about something I'm putting close to my body, the last thing I want is the negative side effects of emfs. Um, there also should be a warranty of some sort on the LED lights of these red light devices. Um, let's just be honest. Cheap units use cheap LEDs, and they're gonna burn out a lot quicker. So if you're dropping a couple hundred dollars, I mean, I'd want to see it that it's at least lasting as many years as I think I'm investing into it. Um, another thing for safety is you don't want a cheap device that's going to overheat. Um, and then finally, you also want to make sure that these devices have uniform illumination. So especially devices you're putting directly on your skin like a face mask. You don't want hot spots. So all these things should be easy to find either on the device's website, within the information itself, or you should be able to reach out to someone selling this, and they should be able to verify all these things and we'll have all this information. So let's go back to kind of the basics. What do you wear? Are you over a ticket when you're in there. And what are you wearing. What you know Penny. That's the beauty of, um, the privacy that I give people. Um, in the section where my infrared sauna is. A little curtain for you, but, um, no. I always tell people come comfortable because honestly, I have a changing area and you will be given a carbon towel wrap. So the important thing about the carbon towel wrap is that this specific material is going to allow for the most amount of infrared penetration. So wearing that towel wrap is almost the same as you wearing nothing within my sauna. So, um, so you don't have to worry about you come from work, you come from wherever, you're in nice clothes, you're in grungy clothes. It doesn't matter. You'll be changing into it. I'll wrap. And, um, again, there's towels in there. There's everything else in there so you can lay down and be comfortable. So you've told me before, there's a difference in this carbon towel wrap and, yes, simple to wrap. What's the difference? Um, just the amount of infrared that's able to penetrate through the fibers. So it's actually, uh, you know, a high end, uh, material that, um, these towel wraps were created by sunlight, and he makes the sauna to make sure that they're the most. Compatible and you get the most benefit. So ultimately it would be best to be butt naked, like if you want to get direct. Is that right? I mean, because it sounds like you want to have a towel that comes through, so. Yeah. And think though. Um, infrared because, um, it's able to penetrate through tissue, um, even to deep layers. Yes. Any sort of clothing could be an additional layer or barrier, but these wavelengths are really good at getting where they need to go, so I'm never too concerned. Um, I think wearing the towel wrap you're just fine. Yes, I agree. I like the towel because as I've become more sweaty, you want the rot to. Yes. Yeah, absolutely. So if are there any contraindications, like if anybody has any sort of health issues or anything that people need to know that they should or should do it? Yeah. Um, I always have people sign a consent form, and it's a great way for not only me to find out more about them if I don't already know their past medical history, but it also reminds the people when they're going in there about certain things that that need to be addressed or talked about. So of course, there's certain medications. You know, we have to be cautious with diuretics, beta blockers, you know, heart medications, that kind of stuff. Um, and that's always a let's defer to the physician and get clearance there. Um, we already talked about age. You know, both ends of the spectrum. Children and seniors. Um, not so much a contraindication as just being especially cautious. Um, just for hydration and things like that. Yeah, absolutely. And just the sheer body size, you know, when it comes to children, we know that they can't sweat as much because their surface area isn't as great as you wouldn't mind. Right. Um, so definitely, if you've got an active infection, fever, that kind of stuff, you don't want to put you in there. However, I will say it can be really sonic can be very effective. If you feel like you're starting to get sick or you know everyone around you is. It's a great way to help heat up that internal body temperature To effectively, again, detox and kind of boost that immune system reaction to help your body fight what it needs to. There's a fine line with that. Um, but people who can't handle heat, well, that's a concern. Um, even people who are poor detoxify. So sometimes we have to start them out really low and slow. So those might be people. I start out for 10 or 15 minutes at a time. Um, especially if they get any sort of hurt reactions or kind of that, you know, that negative detoxifying. You'd be surprised that these suns can be so powerful and detoxifying that some people can't handle them well until until their body becomes better at doing that. Just clarifying the hurt reaction is negative results. I from friction is my exorcism before. I hope it's not that good that I was up there climber after doing my Candida diet, but just you start feeling bad. That doesn't necessarily mean it's harmful for you. It right many times can possibly mean that it's actually doing really good things for you, but you just don't want to feel bad in. Yeah. Or if we can. It's like doing exercise while exercise is good. Um, it's, you know, Hermes is what we call a stress. A good stress on the body. Right? So then the body can adapt and change. But like when we first start running, we're not going to go out and run a marathon. So think of doing the sauna is the same way. We're not going to go, um, for 45 minutes the first time as we've never experienced it. And we know we have problems detoxifying. Um, we're going to baby step it. We're going to start out, you know, you know, walking a mile and then running a mile and then, you know, building up to that. Because our body, especially when it comes to opening up pathways, some bodies are a little more resistant to that. So again, just because it's a good stress, um, if it becomes too much, the body sees it as just that and which is stress. And we don't want it being interpreted as a negative thing at our body. Not then, um, responding positively. So going back, sorry, I'm flip flopping back to the different levels of the level one. Level two. Level three as far as depth. If you do it consistently. Should you be switching up your levels or is it just automatically you get that deep level, or do you set your sauna at a certain level? How do you manage that? That's a great question. Um, there are different settings, especially in the sunlight and sauna, which I have. Um, most people, I will put them on all three types. So mid, near and far infrared. Those are all running uh consecutively consecutively. And we don't have to do any adjustment there. Now if it's someone I know is dealing with pain, chronic pain, inflammation, that sort of thing, I might switch them and put them on a different setting. And the nice thing about my sunlight and spot is you can, um, there are pre-programmed, um, settings for weight loss, for pain relief, that kind of stuff. So it's more tailored. But generally speaking, most people do really well with a combination of all three of the entire time, and then you're getting the maximum benefit from all types of wavelengths. Okay, so my more scientific question. So when we're talking about detoxing and your body is detoxing, why you're doing this is and we're not sweating. So does this mean that we're detoxing into the cellular level going into the bloodstream, which then goes through the liver which then detoxes out of your body. Is that how the detox works? Yes. So the hope is and I will say this, just because some people don't sweat immediately, the hope is that we do sweat. That's one of the best ways to be able to open things up and move. Um, releasing toxins at the sweat level would be the quickest way to get it out of our body in that respect. But your question, um, I like it because it hits to the deeper point, is that red light, infrared light is going to work actually at the cell level. So again, let's not get too much past my fifth grade science class, you know, with Roy Biv. But if you think of the cell, um, and the fact that it. Creates energy. The powerhouse of the cell is that mitochondria. So what it is doing is the infrared light is changing the way that the mitochondria or the powerhouse of the cell functions. And all that to say is that it is helping produce energy and make sure that powerhouse is the strongest and most effective that it can be. So you are not only detoxifying by releasing toxins in the sweat, you are changing the way that the cell is functioning and creating energy. And that in turn, will also drive the deeper detoxification process that you then spoke of. Where then we get all the detox organs involved. Um, uh, we could go a lot more in depth, but I think that's the the heart of the matter is that it's actually changing the way the mitochondria functions. I love that because I prefer the book Good Energy by Casey means a lot. And she talks about the good energy that we get is actually from our mitochondria and we are we have damaged cells. And if we don't repair those mitochondria, we're going to continue to replicate bad cells. So this totally feeds into healing themselves at a cellular level so that we can replicate healthy cells, which ultimately detoxify and heals our body. Yeah. Is that right? Yeah. And I think I love that there's so much conversation about cell health right now because we a lot of times in medicine, our bodies get compartmentalized. And, you know, you see a specialist for this or you go to this for that. And my goodness, there seems to be no overlap. But when we talk about getting to the cellular level, we're talking about every single component of every part of your body. And so that's where modalities like infrared can be really, really powerful. And it's truly a whole body healing and all. That's for sure. Well, I love this because I also know that you just in closing, this is one piece of the pie. There are so many ways that we can approach the body because we've talked about lymphatic drainage before and we've talked about now red lights on it. And I know that you do other things. Is there anything else that you would advise as far as using supplementation, or is this something that you can use just by itself? Um, if you were to make one simple recommendation to people who are interested in Rabbi Sarna. Yeah. Um, I would say just keep it simple. If red light or infrared therapy is something that you can incorporate into your daily life, I think it can be really powerful. I think sometimes we make it so tough on ourselves. We got to do this and this, and this is a whole world where you could do a lot of things and still not do enough, right? So if it is something that you can realistically incorporate into your life, um, I say go for it again. We are nearing, um, it's this time of year where we're changing of the seasons, so we naturally get infrared light from the sunshine. So I always love the sound. Silly that my infrared sauna is not busy in the summertime, and that's because people are doing what they will need to do be outside, enjoy the sunshine. You know, soak that in. About 51 to 53% of the sunshine's rays are infrared. So I think innately people know that they're getting that. So as we change into winter, that's where this infrared light can be really powerful. And we are supplementing. So talk about supplementation. We are supplementing what we normally get through nature by using infrared light. So um again if this is something that you can incorporate I will say one of my favorite home devices is a Lume box. And it has both red and near-infrared. Um, which is nice. You can turn, you know, you can use them together, which I think is usually best for a lot of people. Or you can use one versus the other. There are different settings, but it's nice. Um, and you can travel with it, you can use it even it's safe for kiddos. There are little glasses to make sure you protect their eyes, but, um, finding something like that could really just help make it through the winter. Um, and again, if it's if making this simple change then can encourage you to do other changes. Then I think that's a great start. That's awesome. Well, in closing, is there anything else that you would add that I haven't asked about or advice on? No, I guess I will say that when we talk about infrared sauna or even like we talked about lymphatic drainage, that I also do, we need to think about these as being opening up downstream detox pathways. So while they are extremely they can be extremely effective in helping people detoxify. If you're still not getting the results you want as far as digital health struggles, we have to look upstream. So looking at root cause is always going to be the heart of everything. So again, I like to always say that down opening downstream detox pathways are necessary and important, but looking upstream at root cause is always going to be that final destination. And I love to point out that, you know, we're such a a here and now and quick fix society that you know, you're not going to necessarily walk out of that sauna and feel like a million bucks the first time that you do it, that it takes consistency and it takes time. And our body, in order for our cells to regenerate and heal, it takes time. So I know that many people might walk out and say, well, it didn't really do anything for me. I just want to encourage people that with lymphatic drainage, with red lights on it, with anything holistic that we're doing, that it takes time for our body to turn over new cells and to heal and to get there. So it's I always encourage people to always keep a journal if they want to know the difference, because we forget how bad we felt at one time. And if you journal what you did and when you did. Um, I think that it's really fun to see how far you've come, and I think that this would be a great example of that, because there's such baby steps in the long run. You can look back and see how far you made it. I like that. Sometimes it's hard to see unless you can, you know, zoom out of what things used to be like. But, um, I like that especially. There's just no substitution for being consistent with something. And I guess being patient with a lot of things. Um, yeah, I like the journaling idea. That's a great, great thought. So if anybody wanted to get in touch with you or talk to you or learn more about what you do, what's the best way to get in touch with you? Yeah, the easiest is probably my website, which is Radiant Wellness KC But Casey is in Kansas City, so Radiant Wellness kc.com. Um, you can also find me on social media, um, at Radiant Wellness. KC is uh, my Instagram and um, you have a really good Instagram, so you do a lot of teaching. Oh thank you. Well, that's I also do at lymph doc. So that's where I do my lymphatic drainage. I've got a little bit of everything. So we encourage everybody to follow you there because you do a really good training there on Instagram or TikTok or whichever one it is. Both of them. Right. Yeah, a little bit of everything. So, Ken, do you treat patients that are not local? Like if people came to your website, do you do any sort of treatment? Yeah, there's options, especially for the cellular detox side of things and amino acid therapy. Um, you can we definitely were virtually with people who are outside of the Kansas City area. Um, obviously infrared sauna would be something unique to you. Can't do that on a zoom. No, like, not the same benefits, but, uh. Yeah. So I always love talking to people. So always reach out with any questions. Uh, even, you know, you can call me directly or email me directly from my website. Awesome. Thank you so much, Aubrey. This was very informative.
